Academics

Dr. Rishi Dwivedi holds a PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, an MBA from ICFAI University, Dehradun, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. He began his professional career at ICICI Bank, Kolkata, as an Assistant Manager in the SME division. He later transitioned to academia, serving in faculty roles at the Central University of Jharkhand and Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi. At XISS, he coordinated the Financial Management Programme that earned NBA accreditation and was a member of the University Task Force for strategic institutional planning. He also led initiatives related to ERP implementation, industrial visit coordination, and digital transformation. Dr. Dwivedi has supervised over 50 postgraduate research projects and served as an external expert on the Board of Studies (Department of Mechanical Engineering) at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. His research interests lie in decision science, operations management, and artificial intelligence. His publications appear in journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC. He has contributed book chapters and co-edited the volume Pioneering Approaches in Data Management. He regularly presents at international conferences and has received multiple Best Paper Awards. He was also awarded the UGC-BSR Research Fellowship for doctoral research.
