Dr. Santosh Anand holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, an M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering & Management from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, and a B.Sc. in Engineering with a specialization in Production from BIT Sindri Dhanbad. With over 10 years of experience in research and teaching, he has established himself as a prominent academic in the field. Prior to his tenure at DMI, he was affiliated with the UPES School of Business in Dehradun. He has published numerous research papers in prestigious journals, including Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Journal of Cleaner Production, Studies in Higher Education, and Sustainable Futures. He has also presented his research at international conferences such as the POMS India International Conference. His primary research interests focus on sustainability, with a particular emphasis on addressing critical challenges such as the lack of collaboration in the food industry and the reduction of food loss and waste. This includes investigating strategies and solutions that not only aim to minimize waste within food systems but also encourage sustainable practices across industries and supply chains, ultimately promoting a more efficient and environmentally responsible approach to resource management.
